Asavari Jain has extensive experience in intellectual property and commercial litigation, prosecution, advisory and contractual assistance.

Asavari has worked on a broad spectrum of issues ranging from conventional intellectual property infringement to unorthodox issues involving intermediary liability, SEP litigation, anti-suit injunctions, arbitrability of IP disputes, the interplay of artificial intelligence and copyright, and statutory licensing of copyrighted works.

  • Representing Google in litigation involving intermediary liability.
  • Representing Burger King Corporation in their trademark litigation, prosecution and opposition in India.
  • Representing Urban Company in a patent dispute before the High Court of Delhi.
  • Advising one of the largest SEP owners on issues related to the Indian market.
  • Representing T-Series in complex contractual and copyright infringement disputes.
  • Represented the All India Gaming Federation in litigation relating to the scope of protection of celebrity rights and NFTs in online gaming.
  • Successfully defended Vistara in a trademark infringement matter by asserting non-trademark use.
  • In a previous role, represented Fantasy Sports My Fab11 on the issue involving copyrightability of fantasy games and doctrine of idea-expression dichotomy.
  • In a previous role, represented Microsoft Corporation before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre in a copyright licensing issue.
  • In a previous role, represented a Hero Group company on issues involving arbitrability of IP disputes.
