Abhilasha Nautiyal is an experienced commercial disputes resolution lawyer, with a focus on IP litigation and mediation.

Abhilasha appears regularly before the High Court, district courts and tribunals in Delhi. She has worked on cutting-edge issues in Indian law, such as IP licensing, competition law concerning patents, and IP enforcement including standard essential patents, text data mining, vicarious liability for infringement, and complex questions concerning co-ownership of trademarks.

Her clients include Nokia, Choice Hotels, Network18, Brown Forman and Kanpur Flowercycling.

Representative Matters
  • Representing Choice Hotels in trademark dispute resolution, mediation, and prosecution, including its dispute with Oyo Hotels.
  • Representing Network18 in IP enforcement, including litigation, UDRP and INDRP.
  • Advising one of the largest SEP owners on issues related to the Indian market.
  • Representing Kanpur Flowercycling (Phool) in IP enforcement, including trade dress, copyright and trademark litigation.
  • Successfully represented multiple paper mills, including as first chair, before the Competition Commission of India against allegations of cartelization without a monetary penalty being imposed.
  • In a previous role, represented Enercon in its technology dispute with its Indian joint venture partner.
  • In a previous role, represented one of the world’s largest cellular SEP owners in pre-litigation mediations before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre that resulted in a successful outcome. Deal featured as ‘FT Most Innovative Lawyers- Asia Pacific 2018-Standout’.
